With the enactment of the new Immigration Law No. 6 Year 2011, the Directorate of Immigration, Ministry of Justice and Human Rights adopt some changes in the implementation of the provisions in the field related to the reporting of the presence of foreigners living or working in Indonesia.
In the old rules it is specified that the Foreigners living in Indonesia (more than 90 days) are to provide information regarding the identity and / or of their families if required by immigration officers and the obligation to report any changes in status at the Immigration Office. However, with the implementation of Law No. 6 of 2011 on Immigration, along with the application of Immigration Information Management System, it was decided that the use of Blue Book (POA) has now been replaced with the data and information recorded and integrated in an e-office.
This decision was issued by the Director General of Immigration, as stated in the Circular of the Director General of Immigration IMI-GR.03.02.0224 number 2014 on the Elimination of Blue Book (POA). With the issuance of this policy, the foreigners living in Indonesia does not need to have the Blue Book (POA).
