  1. Hello,
I am a US citizen, planning to retire in Surabaya, Indonesia with my husband. It says on this website that accommodation must be located at an authorized tourist area. Is Surabaya considered as one of the areas? With the COVID-19 going on, is this retirement visa still available? How long does this process take?

    Thank you,
    Jessica

    • Dear Mrs. Jessica,

      Thank you for your comment.

Yes its possible to obtain the retirement KITAS in Surabaya, but due to Pandemic the immigration has not been issuing offshore retirement KITAS yet. For now only way to get the retirement KITAS is to enter Indonesia with B211A Tourist Visa and then change the status to Retirement KITAS. The process is quite expensive and can take long.
