There are two types of Social Visit Visa available to Indonesia, namely:
- Single Entry Social Visit Visa (Index B211A): Valid for 60 days and can be extended 4 times for a maximum 30 days each time.
- Multiple Entry Social Visit Visa (Index D212): Valid for 12 months with a maximum stay of 60 days allowed per entry.
Single Entry Social Visit Visa (Index B211A) is suitable for following activities:
- Tourism;
- Family Visit;
- Social;
- Art and Culture;
- Government Duties;
- Non-Commercial Sports;
- Comparative Studies, Short Courses, and Short Training;
- Emergency and Urgent Work;
- Business Talks;
- Purchase of Goods;
- Giving Lectures or Attending Seminars;
- Attending International Exhibitions;
- Attending Business Meetings held at Head Office or Representative Office in Indonesia;
- Transit to other countries; and
- Joining a conveyance that is in the Territory of Indonesia.
Multiple Entry Social Visit Visa (Index D212) is suitable for following activities:
- Tourism;
- Family Visit;
- Art and Culture;
- Government Duties;
- Business Talks;
- Purchase of Goods;
- Giving Lectures or Attending Seminars;
- Attending International Exhibitions;
- Attending Business Meetings held at Head Office or Representative Office in Indonesia; and
- Transit to other countries.
This visa is not suitable to work or to take up employment in Indonesia. This visa requires prior sponsorship by an Indonesian citizen (for Single Entry Only) and can be converted into Temporary Stay Permit (KITAS) in some cases.
Documents required for Single Entry Social Visit Visa (Index B211A) are as follows:
- Copy of Passport of Applicant (minimum validity 6 months )
- 2 (two) passport sized (4cmX6cm) photographs in white background
- Copy of Indonesian Sponsor’s Identity Card (KTP), Family Register (Kartu Keluarga) and Birth Certificate (Akta Kelahiran).
- Return or an onward flight ticket.
- Proof of funds available for the stay (Minimum US$ 1500 or equivalent)
- Name nearest Indonesian embassy or Consulate to stamp visa (i.e. Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok etc.)
Documents required for Multiple Entry Social Visit Visa (Index D212) are as follows:
- Copy of Passport (Minimum Validity 18 Months)
- 2 (two) passport sized (4cmX6cm) photographs in white backgroundd
- Return or an onward flight ticket.
- Proof of funds available for the stay (Minimum US$ 1500 or equivalent)
- Name nearest Indonesian embassy or Consulate to stamp visa (i.e. Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Bangkok etc.)
- Copy of following Documents from Sponsor Company
- Akta Pendirian Perusahaan (Article of Association)
- Izin Prinsip (Principle License)/Izin Usaha/ SIUP
- NIB (Nomor Induk Berusaha)
- Surat Domisili (Domicile Certificate)
- NPWP (Tax Number)
- TDP (Business Registration Certificate)
- SK Menteri (Deed of Establishment)
- Copy of KTP/Passport/KITAS of Company Director
Step-by-step Visa Application Procedure
- Applicant sends scanned required documents to AJ Consultants by email.
- AJ Consultants submit Visa Approval/Telex Application to office of Directorate General of Immigration (Dirjen Imigrasi) in Jakarta.
- Office of Directorate General Of Immigration (Dirjen Imigrasi) issues Visa Approval/Telex in 3-5 working days. An automatic notification of the approval is sent to Indonesian Embassy or Consulate which is chosen by the applicant.
- AJ Consultants sends a copy of Visa Approval/Telex to applicant. Applicant then visits selected Indonesian Embassy or Consulate for the stamping of Visa in his/her passport. The procedure and requirements for the visa stamping may vary Embassy to Embassy.
- Once the Visa is stamped, applicant may enter Indonesia.
